Cedar Isle Restaurant and Baja Beach Club used to be one of the most popular venues in Texas when it comes to live music and relaxing "by the lake" atmosphere. Situated on an island in the middle of Cedar Creek Lake, this club had a reputation of being one of the best go-to places in town.
Cedar Isle had a marina that can hold up to 28 boats, an outdoor tiki bar, and recreational spots such as horseshoe pits, beach volleyball, and children's playground. Owners Bernie and Lew Talbot used to hold charitable events here, including the annual "Buddy Bash" which benefitted the American Cancer Society. Patrons of this place always praised the bar's good food and exceptional staff service. To satisfied and regular customers, Cedar Isle was an institution to the lake and a great escape place for them.
That is, until it was destroyed by a four-alarm fire on December 24, 2012. Now, Cedar Isle stands no more in Cedar Creek Lake.
